Panic attack treatment can involve the use of anti-anxiety drugs prescribed by
the doctor overseeing your condition, but unless carefully monitored, some of
them can lead to dependency. And many anxiety drug users, when cutting back on
their doses, find that their panic attacks have returned. So drugs alone are not

But panic disorder will respond to long-term
panic attack treatment, if the victim is willing to take a
proactive part in his or her recovery.
Relaxation techniques have proven very effective as panic attack
treatment. Deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle
relaxation, and meditation are all highly recommended.
Relaxation as a panic attack treatment does not only mean taking
time away from the stressful situations in your life, although
that certainly couldn’t hurt. Progressive muscle relaxation
panic attack treatment requires you to lie down, or sit in a
comfortable way, and Let you mind visualize each part of your
body in succession. Beginning with your facial muscles, tense
each group of muscles and release it after a few seconds, then
work your way down to the next group, until you finish with your
toes.
Breathe deeply, and let your thoughts wander where they will,
but don’t latch on to any of them during this panic attack
treatment. When you’ve reached your toes, just let yourself
imagine that you are in a favorite safe and beautiful place, and
remain as you are for a few minutes before gradually
resurfacing.
