Anxiety and Panic Attacks Can Be Dealt With

With anxiety becoming a bigger and bigger problem it's no surprise that 1 out of 3 American adults have had at least one anxiety or panic attack throughout their life time. Most of those adults never do experience another attack, but there are some people who seem stuck in the daily cycle of experiencing anxiety.

One common misconception about anxiety is that most people think of it as a bad thing, but it's really just a normal reaction to stress and is perfectly healthy.

It does become a problem when it becomes a daily part of your life though and this results in recurrent attacks.

Panic attacks occur when a person gets an intense fear or starts to feel extremely panicky out of no where.

It is a lot worse than normal anxiety or the feeling of being a little stressed out and they can be very scary to someone who has never experienced one.

There are three "recognized" forms of panic attacks and they are spontaneous panic attacks, specific panic attacks, and situational predisposed panic attacks.

Spontaneous – This one is associated mostly to panic disorders, it comes without any warning at all and doesn't matter what the person is currently doing. Many people awake from sleep with on of these types of attacks.

Specific – This type occurs in relation to specific situations or places you have an extreme problem with feeling comfortable with. This is also the most common type.

Situational Predisposed – This one is experienced by people who already have a panic disorder and occurs when they are predisposed to a certain situation or place. Sometimes they will have a panic attack in that certain place and sometimes they won't.
